Olson Ballroom Dance Studio A family-owned and operated dance studio offering a variety of family activities where children are always welcome to utilize our recreation room while parents learn how to dance! Ron and Brenda Olson are retired professional ballroom dancers, performers and competitors and have been teaching in New Hampshire since retiring here to raise their family in 1987. They both trained in Massachusetts: Brenda in ballet and ballroom and Ron strictly in ballroom and was the 1979 National Ballroom Dance Champion at Madison Square Garden, New York, New York. Ron and Brenda have taught at their own dance studios at Olson Ballroom Dance Studio located on Route 4 in Chichester, Depot Street in Concord and now at Epsom Shoppes Plaza in Epsom, New Hampshire. They have also performed for the Audi Theater, Jerry Lewis Telethons, NHABDA dances, Miss New Hampshire Pageant, Bektash Shriners Hall, Concord Hospital, Tina's Studio Dance Weekends, Scott's Lake House Dance Vacations in New York, State Legislative Ball and a multitude of college and church functions. Over the last 20 years, the Olsons have organized and taught classes for UNH, St. Paul's School, Petit Papillon, Concord High School, Stone Gardens, Plymouth State College, Center of New Hampshire, Green Street Community Center in Concord, Concord Recreation Department, Concord YMCA, Wolfeboro YMCA, Pembroke Academy, Wolfeboro Middle and High Schools, Brewster Academy, Diane's Dance Academy, Dede's Dance Depot, Pittsfield Community Center, Sharon's Studio of Dance, Alton Dance Academy, Red Carpet Ballroom, Hopkinton Congregational Church, Forest Society Conservation Center, Knights of Columbus Hall in Concord as well as a multitude of churches, schools and other organizations. Ron and Brenda now specialize in "SOCIAL DANCING" and want to encourage everyone (Families, Singles, Teens, Children, Seniors, Adults) to learn how to dance! Ron and Brenda's approach is non-competitive and their love of dancing shows through in their classes. They strive to teach their students to be comfortable on any dance floor and do not push their students to compete or perform shows. In addition, they do not expect their students to switch dance partners (except in classes designed for singles). If a couple registers for a dance class, they will learn together and not be expected to switch partners. Ron and Brenda love dancing and want to share their talents with their students! Olson Ballroom Dance Studio offers a huge ballroom facility for dancing and hosts fairs and functions during the weekends! Don't miss our Juried CRAFT & TRADE FAIR the first Saturday of every month and our FLEA MARKET & BOOK FAIRS! Booth spaces available on a first come-first serve basis. Travel ¾ way around traffic circle and head north on Route 28 toward Chichester, Pittsfield, Barnstead and Alton. Take your first right off of Route 28 and turn into the Epsom Shoppes Plaza.
